The Woman Within® Training Weekend was created by Char Tosi in Wisconsin in 1987. There are 5 regions licensed by WWIL to offer the Woman Within Training (TE, WTWMW, EnVC, WW-WC, ECSC), as well as several Outreach Communities supported by WWIL, such as Alberta & Ontario Canada, Colorado USA, South Africa and Australia. which are similar to Transitions Europe.
The Woman Within® Training is designed to take women into a step-by-step descent from the time they make the decision to attend the training. This descent is a descent into themselves, an opportunity to examine their lives and to decide what is working and what is not working for them. It is an opportunity to make changes by going deep inside to reclaim the lost or fragmented parts of themselves or the gifts that they have and to bring them out, dropping their masks to become their authentic selves.
Woman Within International is a not-for-profit organization that offers educational opportunities for women to discover the power of who they are and encourages women to communicate this in their relationships, families, workplaces and communities.
As of June 2009, thousands of women worldwide have attended the Woman Within® Training Weekend and many of these women have continued their journey at other Woman Within retreats and workshops including Women Empowering Women (WEW), Healing the Wounds of Shame, and Woman Within Level 2: Archetypes of the Castle.
The Woman Within International network is an organization of women of all ages from 18 and beyond from all cultural backgrounds. Women who are grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters, partners and friends. Women who come from many professions and walks of life who find time in their busy lives to help heal women, one woman at a time. All of these women believe in the process and trust it.

Transitions Europe was set up in 1996 as a company primarily to present the Woman Within Training Weekends and associated workshops.

- Providing training weekends offering a safe environment for exploring and expressing our feelings
- Offering ongoing support through workshops, empowerment circles and community
- Transcending boundaries of language and culture in empowering women to discover and embrace all aspects of themselves
- Our aspirational goal for the year 2005-2006 was to support French and Swiss woman in developing their centre to achieve an outreach weekend by the end of 2006. The first weekend took place in Geneva in November 2006 and the second one took place in November 2007
- Our aspirational goal for the current year is to register women at each of our 3 annual Woman Within® Training Weekends in order to continue to offer part bursaries for each of the weekends in 2010 as well as to support the women currently on the facilitation track.
